Technology

The stack that powers your AI team

We have built a technology platform that combines on-premise hardware, best-in-class workflow tools, and frontier AI models into a unified system that runs reliably 24/7. Here is exactly what powers your agents.

Hardware

On-premise by default

Every JWHive deployment runs on dedicated hardware — typically an Apple Mac Mini with Apple Silicon. These machines are small, silent, energy-efficient, and surprisingly powerful. A single Mac Mini can run dozens of AI workflows simultaneously, handle hundreds of API calls per minute, and process large datasets without breaking a sweat. They sit in your office, connected to your network, running your agents 24/7.

Why Apple Silicon? Because it offers the best performance-per-watt for AI workloads in this form factor. The unified memory architecture means AI models load faster and process more efficiently than equivalent x86 hardware. And macOS provides a stable, secure operating system that requires minimal maintenance.

For businesses that prefer not to have hardware on-site, we also offer managed server deployments in UK data centres. Same architecture, same security, just hosted in a facility with redundant power, cooling, and connectivity.

Software Stack

Best-in-class at every layer

n8n

Self-hosted workflow automation platform. The backbone of our agent orchestration — handling complex multi-step workflows, API integrations, and data transformations. Over 400 native integrations plus custom HTTP nodes for anything else.

Make.com

Cloud workflow automation for simpler integrations. 1,500+ native apps, visual builder, and robust error handling. We use Make.com for non-sensitive workflows where speed of setup is the priority.

Claude (Anthropic)

Our primary AI model for content generation, analysis, and reasoning tasks. Claude produces the highest quality output for business communications, content writing, data analysis, and strategic recommendations.

Vector Databases

Pinecone and local vector stores for semantic search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Your agents access your business knowledge base — documents, FAQs, pricing, processes — to produce accurate, contextual responses.

OpenClaw

Our proprietary agent management platform. 15 agent workspaces, 43+ channel extensions, Notion integration for task delegation, and comprehensive monitoring. The control plane for your entire AI team.

Custom APIs & Middleware

Cloudflare Workers, custom Python services, and webhook endpoints for bespoke integrations. When a native integration does not exist, we build one.

Architecture

How it all fits together

Your Mac Mini runs n8n as the primary orchestration layer. Workflows trigger on schedules, webhooks, or events from connected tools. When a workflow needs AI — to write content, analyse data, or make a decision — it calls Claude via API. When it needs to store or retrieve knowledge, it uses the vector database. When it needs to interact with external tools, it uses native integrations or custom API endpoints.

OpenClaw sits on top as the management layer, coordinating agents across workspaces and providing a unified view of everything that is happening. Monitoring, logging, and alerting ensure that if anything goes wrong, we know about it before you do — and fix it before it affects your business.

The result is a system that is reliable, fast, secure, and infinitely extensible. New agents can be deployed in hours. New integrations can be added in minutes. And the entire platform scales with your business without requiring hardware upgrades or architecture changes.
